Baptism
Baptism is one of two biblical sacraments practiced at The Sanctuary. It is rooted in the teachings and actions of Jesus Christ. Baptism is the immersion of a believer in Christ in water in the name of The Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Believer’s Baptism represents both the individual, inward commitment to a personal relationship with Jesus and the corporate, outward sign of being connected to a local community of Christ followers – the local church.

Belief Matters: Faith & Baptism Class
Explore the essentials of the Christian faith and baptism in this class, designed for those curious about the Christian faith, those seeking a deeper understanding of God and his Word, and those ready to take the next step of proclaiming new life in Christ through baptism.
We’ll discuss core beliefs, the life and teachings of Jesus, the Bible, discipleship, and the sacrament of baptism. Open to all questions, this class is a safe space to learn, share, and grow in a supportive community.

Kid's Belief Matters: Faith & Baptism Class
At Sanctuary, we teach that there is an outward and inward change after making the decision to follow Jesus and placing our faith in Him. Our hearts transform as we become more and more like Jesus. Baptism is a symbol to show the world this inner change.
We cover the Gospel and the big God story during our mandatory kids baptism class.

Baby Dedication & Infant Baptism
At Sanctuary, we believe every child is created with purpose and deeply loved by God. Through Baby Dedication and Infant Baptism, families commit to raising their child to know and love Jesus, while the church family commits to supporting them along the way. This is a special moment to acknowledge God’s love and grace in a child’s life from the very beginning.

What is the meaning of baptism?
Baptism is the immersion of a believer in Christ in water in the name of The Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is to show our death, burial, and resurrection of the blessed Christ. It declares the inward washing away of our sins. (Romans 6:3)
